The Ruger Vaquero combines the original Old West single-action look and feel with new features. The mid-size high gloss steel old model frame and cylinder are scaled-down to the same size as the original 1955 Ruger Blackhawk®, closely resembling the classic single-action revolvers of the late 1800's.

This gun has never been fired and only displayed in my glass case. Excellent condition. No box, I can’t find it, if I do I will update the listing. Comes with the Custom Western Holster as shown in pictures that I had custom made about 20 years ago so I could display it in my gun case with the Ruger Vaquero. The belt is 42” long.

Some Tips for Safe Gun Handling

Always remember that guns are not toys and should be treated with respect!

There are no second chances with a gun. Safe gun handling must always be followed to avoid accidents. Be aware of your weapon and your surroundings.

 

·        Always treat the gun as if it is loaded.

·        Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction – away from you and everyone else.

·        Always keep your finger off the trigger, away from the trigger guard and straight until you are ready to shoot.

·        Don't rely on the gun's safety to keep it from firing.

·        Never point the gun at anything you don't intend to destroy.

·        Be sure of your target and what is beyond it. Be aware of your surroundings when handling guns so you don't trip or lose your balance and accidentally point and/or fire the gun at anyone or anything.

·        Learn the mechanical and handling characteristics of the gun you are using.

·        Be sure the barrel is clear of obstructions before loading and shooting.

·        If your gun fails to fire when the trigger is pulled, hold your shooting position for several seconds; then with the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, carefully unload the gun.

·        Always use proper Ammunition.
